one-third of students dont graduate


Here's a surprising fact; according to the Federal Government data only one-third of public college students will graduate within 6 years. The majority of college students drop out because they struggle to resolve the conflict between school and the real world. For students today, the real world revolves around working. In fact, 71% of students don't finish college because they can't work and attend school. Having a college degree doesn’t define who you are, which mean just because you don’t have a college degree you are a failure

Researchers say that 58% percent of students have no help from relatives and 69% of students reported not having any loans or scholarship money. When attending public colleges students are surrounded by thousands of different people. Because of that, students are likely to fit in with the wrong crowd and get themselves in lots of trouble that can cost them from graduating. On the other hand, private colleges has way less students so it's harder to fit in with the wrong crowd of people. People wonder why the statistics with public colleges are higher than privates; the reason is because attending private colleges is way more expensive than public colleges. The majority of the students who attend private college has either a scholarship or has money and family support; which lower student chances of dropping out.

Some student even drops out of college from being home sick; especially the ones who isn't used to being away from home for a long period of time. Other students even attend college because of default. Therefore, students enroll in college because their parents insisted. People fail to realize that college isn't for everyone and just because students doesn't attend, that doesn't make them a failure. they're a million ways to become successful and college isn't the only option.
