My name is Capriya Carr. I'm 18 years old and I'm from Monroe, Ga. I am student at Georgia Gwinnett College. My desire is helping sick people, so I decided to major In nursing. Over the years my passion for helping people may change. For example, when I was growing up I loved basketball, as I got older I grew out of that. Hopefully I still have passion for nursing by the time I graduate Georgia Gwinnett College so I can have a successful career.

Here's a surprising fact; according to the Federal Government data only one-third of public college students will graduate within 6 years . The majority of college students drop out because they struggle to resolve the conflict between school and the real world. For students today, the real world revolves around working. In fact, 71% of students don't finish college because they can't work and attend school. Having a college degree doesn’t define who you are, which mean just because you don’t have a college degree you are a failure Researchers say that 58% percent of students have no help from relatives and 69% of students reported not having any loans or scholarship money. When attending public colleges students are surrounded by thousands of different people. Because of that, students are likely to fit in with the wrong crowd and get themselves in lots of trouble that can cost them from graduating. Child abuse is a major problem in our society today. Many people in the world today has experience some type of abuse, whether it's physically, mentally or sexually. 4.1 million people has experienced abuse; majority are kids . Child abuse is any mistreatment to a child that injurers a child in any way, shape or form. Physical abuse is any type of pushing, shoving, or hitting. Sexual abuse is when people are touched inappropriate touching, molestation, or even rape. Mental abuse is when a person  is saying degrading words to you.
